Come. Talk, listen, share stories, challenges and successes. Everyone touched by someone with Autism is encouraged to join.
We are back!!! Our Support Meetings will resume Tues., September 10, from 6-7:30p. We are excited to bring Kari Taylor from Cornerstone of Hope, to talk with us! Kari does many awesome things at Cornerstone, but she's coming to talk to us about how to handle the stress of being a special needs parent, caregiver, teacher, and more.
We all know how hard it can be as a parent/guardian of a person with special needs. The IEP meetings, advocating, therapies, Dr. appts, sleepless nights ..... the list goes on. Professionals, teachers, therapists we know you also get stressed as you stay up late making plans for your students or trying to find a new way to help them or maybe you're writing the IEP. The bottom line is, we all have those stressful moments, but how do we get through them? What do you do when you feel overwhelmed, tired to your core and are stressed to the max?
Kari will talk share ways to work through this stress and help us become who we want to be for our kids, family, students and more.
